Almost there...

Well, tomorrow we will find out if we have a Tuesday US Embassy appointment. Please be in prayer that we will have a Tuesday appointment, and that we will be able to change our tickets to a Wednesday departure so that we can be home a day early!! This hotel room is getting a whole lot smaller day by day, it seems. I'm sure Anya feels caged in, as well. She is opening up more every day. She has the typical self-soothing behaviors that come from her past - we will be looking for direction in how to help her find a more healthy way to feel comforted. We are there for every tear, every whine, every cry. I know that once she's more secure at home, things will change. It just hurts the heart to watch her try to self-comfort with us right there, patting her back, singing to her, etc. She loves to give big, sloppy, wet kisses, and will seek us out when she's upset. Very steep learning curve for the parental units here in Russia! Can't wait to see all of you next Sunday, or later on this week. I will keep you updated on our ETA. Love to all of you!!
