The Art and Science of Communication

Soooo - we were told that our documents were registered in Moscow already, and that we were waiting for a referral. Well, it turns out that our documents have NOT been registered yet - they were received in Moscow in March, not registered (although we were told they were registered). No documents were registered in April most likely due to the incident with the little boy who was returned to Russia. We will hear by next week if they are registering documents in May - all indications are that they will, but if there's one thing we've learned in this process, it's that there are no guarantees. We are now hoping for a referral in June or July. God has a plan, and a specific little one picked out just for our family, I know. The overwhelming joy that is to come will be worth the wait. They say it's a whirlwind once you get the referral - so when do you get the room ready? They also say to bring a picture of the child's room with you to the first visit... Not sure what to do during the 'waiting time' (besides pray, that is). Any advice from those of you out there that have completed international adoptions?? Love to all, and praying for a blessed rest of the week.
